The therapyindex.com privacy policy is simple.

In summary, your name, e-mail address and other information you send to us in an online form or by e-mail is not supplied to anyone else.

Additionally, if you join therapyindex.com and choose a Preferred or First Page listing, we conceal your email address, whilst allowing legitimate visitors to email you. That way, your email address is not collected from our website by those who send ‘spam’ (unsolicited messages). We call this system ‘Stealth email’. therapyindex.com do not intercept e-mail messages between visitors and practitioners.

If you are registered in our database of counsellors and psychotherapists, we may occasionally* get in touch with information which we think might be of interest to you, or as part of our commitment to improving therapyindex.com.

*We mean it! Maybe twice a year.

Security

None of our members has reported fraudulent use of a credit or debit card as a result of payments made to us.

When you complete the RBS WorldPay payment form and click the submit button, your details are not sent straight away. What actually happens is that a secure link is offered between RBS WorldPay and your browser. (A closed padlock icon should appear in the browser.) An encryption code is requested and received, which then ‘wraps’ your details before leaving your computer. RBS WorldPay processes the payment without passing all your card details to us.
