	Category Counselling People come to counselling for many reasons. Some are struggling with feelings of sadness, anger, anxiety or hopelessness. Others find themselves in difficult circumstances or in unsatisfying relationships. Some want to explore the meaning of their lives. What I can offer you is a safe, regular space where we can look together at what is concerning you. This might involve talking through what has happened during your week, the things you are thinking or feeling, events from the past or hopes and fears for the future. I will be committed to trying to understand what it is like to be you. Counselling isn't a magic cure. At times it can be hard going, and I may not be able to give you the answer to all your questions. As we experience your world together, you may come to see things differently. This insight will help you to make more informed decisions about the way you choose to go forward. I work at The Therapy Centre, a Therapeutic Centre in Central Reading. The first counselling session will be set aside for us to discuss your reasons for coming and for us to decide whether or not we are able to work together I am a BACP accredited counsellor with a BSc. Honours in Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Person Centred Counselling. I am committed to ongoing Professional Development. I work from a Person-Centred/Existential perspective. I regularly meet with an independent experienced counsellor trained in supervision. This is a usual part of counselling and gives me a chance to reflect on our work in a confidential place.
