Mark is a very gifted counsellor: warm, empathic and non judgemental. He provides a safe environment to explore issues and make changes. I definitely recommend him for people looking for counselling/psychotherapy.

About MaryDees

I am Mary Dees and I provide counselling and psychotherapy to individuals in the Marple, Romiley, New Mills, Stockport and High Peak area.

My experience is that counselling and psychotherapy can help people make profound changes in their lives and relationships. This happens through a greater understanding of ourselves and why we think, feel and behave in certain ways. That understanding enables us to accept ourselves and make changes with the guidance of a safe and supportive counsellor.

My mission is to support my clients to achieve a richer understanding of their life (behaviour and relating patterns) and find the resources to support personal growth.
I will work with you to an agreed time scale or on an open-ended basis depending on what you want. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a confidential, respectful and non-judgemental environment.

I have training in and experience of working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma (including abuse), self harm, eating/body issues, grief/bereavement, addiction and others.

I am a BACP registered psychotherapist and my main modality is Transactional Analysis, I also use body psychotherapy, gestalt, mindfulness and others. I am a member of BACP and UKATA and abide by their code of ethics and professional practice.

My counselling room is close to Marple train station, has off road parking and is warm, comfortable and private.

The first session gives us an opportunity to get to know each other a little better, discuss the key issues and give you a chance to ask me questions. This allows us both to get enough information to make a decision if we wish to work together. It is essential that you feel comfortable working with me and so I will ensure you have the space and time to make an informed decision.
