PSYCHOTHERAPY, COUNSELLING, HYPNOTHERAPY AND COACHING
Some people say that counselling and psychotherapy are one and the same. I believe an integrated and holistic approach, as used in the Human Givens Psychotherapeutic framework, is the most effective, practical and solution focused way to help clients overcome a diverse range of both psychological and physcial challenges.
I have practices both in Hale and Wilmslow. Addresses, contact details and lots of other information can be found on my website www.purepotential.me.uk
I gained over a decade of experience in the biomedical profession of obstetrics and assisted reproduction as a State Registered Nurse and State Certified Midwife before diversifying as a health and fitness consultant, personal trainer and education provider to the fitness industry. I am a master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), a qualified hypnotherapist, Time Line Therapist and Reiki practitioner.
Now a graduate of psychology, I have extensive experience working in the fields of social psychology, psychotherapy, mentoring, motivation and performance coaching and personal development.
I am a member of the British Psychological Society and European Therapy Studies Institute and abide by their Codes of Ethics and Conduct.
With my extensive knowledge and experience I can offer clients a holistic combination of psychotherapy, counselling, hypnotherapy and personal development coaching.
Whatever the cause, you don’t have to suffer from
- Panic attacks
- Relationship problems
- Low self esteem
- Poor sleep
- Lack of confidence
Life can be stressful and full of uncertainty, particularly now more than ever, with the rise in divorce, financial insecurity, redundancy and the fast pace at which most of us are expected to live. It is no surprise therefore that we can soon feel overwhelmed and our emotional and physical health suffers.
Counselling from the Human Givens framework combines proven, effective, solution focused, psychotherapeutic techniques with the latest scientific psychological and neurobiological knowledge to relieve emotional distress. This model of psychotherapy/counselling helps clients look outwards rather than inwards so that they are more able to get their mental and physical needs met and therefore feel a greater sense of personal control and wellbeing.
Clients have all the resources they need to solve their problems; it is the function of the therapist to utilise the client’s potential, not to provide the answer.
